Tell us a bit about yourself<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m the founder of\u00a0Immigration South Africa<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0UbuntuDeal<\/a>\u00a0(not in WordPress).<\/p>\n

Why WordPress?<\/h3>\n

Are you kidding? What else gives such a great experience for both user and administrator? And developer, apparently.<\/p>\n

What are your thoughts on the WordPress community as a whole? And the South African WP community?<\/h3>\n

Through various people in the WordPress industry, I’ve learnt that we’re thriving. Woothemes,<\/a> Webgrowth, etc…<\/p>\n

Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Cape Town?<\/h3>\n

I’m passionate about getting WordPress out there, and what better way than to show my thoughts on how to bring in new clients who will use it.<\/p>\n

What is your talk going to be about?<\/h3>\n

Well, it’ll be all about educating your client as you go along, so that in effect, they become a better client for you, and what’s more, they become loyal to you, the expert.<\/p>\n

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Cape Town?<\/h3>\n

Meeting all the experts and interacting with everyone. I’m a friendly guy.<\/p>\n

What is the one thing you want people to walk away with from your talk?<\/h3>\n

To start understanding more and more about their clients.<\/p>\n

What is your favourite WordPress theme and\/or plugin, and why?<\/h3>\n

Hmmm… The boring old SEO plugins, but recently I like yoast’s SEO plugin most.<\/p>\n

Share one WP tip<\/h3>\n

It would be from a administrator’s and not developer’s point of view: Learn as much as you can about SEO content. My blog posts have ranked so well and received so many comments sometimes that my business grows organically purely from that.<\/p>\n

Who in the WordPress community inspires you? Who do yo u follow?<\/h3>\n

Neil Pursey for sure, and I follow news about Adii Pienaar and Woothemes.<\/a><\/p>\n

What is the most exciting feature\/addition\/improvement to WordPress that you have noticed in the last year?<\/h3>\n

I don’t know, just that there are always new and amazing themes coming out.<\/p>\n

Where do you see WordPress 2 years from now?<\/h3>\n

It will always be the number one in terms of blogs, websites, CMS and more. It should be taught in university to business students – I so hope this happens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
