Tell us more about how you became interested in WordPress, what about it drives your continued interest?<\/h2>\n

I needed an \u201ceasy to learn, easy to use\u201d platform to start a blog and WordPress was by far the most uncomplicated and functional system to use. I just liked WordPress right from the start.<\/p>\n

Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Cape Town?<\/h2>\n

Wordcamp conferences have a great reputation globally and I just couldn\u2019t miss the opportunity.<\/p>\n

What is your talk going to be about?<\/h2>\n

How to successfully plan and implement a strategy to generate an income from your website. It is a long road, but a well deserving one.<\/p>\n

What is the one thing you want people to walk away with from your talk?<\/h2>\n

You can successfully generate an income from any website.<\/p>\n

What is your favourite WordPress theme and\/or plugin, and why?<\/h2>\n

I like the Genesis<\/a> framework for WordPress and my favourite plugin is \u201cWordPress SEO by Yoast<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

Can you share one WP tip with us?<\/h2>\n

If there is one tip I can give: Google loves WordPress!<\/p>\n

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Cape Town 2012?<\/h2>\n

Meeting new people to learn from.<\/p>\n

Do you make money from wordpress?<\/h2>\n

Yes, I do make money by using WordPress.<\/p>\n

Is WordPress an effective platform for getting your message across?<\/h2>\n

For sure. When I look at simplicity, functionality and being end-user friendly, I will always use WordPress. 95% of affiliate marketers confirmed they use WordPress as their preferred CMS at a recent Affiliate Summit in the U.S.<\/p>\n

What is the most common phrase you hear when speaking to people?<\/h2>\n
