Speaker Spotlight: Dave Perel

We asked each of our speakers a few questions about themselves and their connection with WordPress – here’s what Dave had to say.

Dave PerelObox Themes was launched in 2009. David has been involved with design and development since 2004, he is currently the CEO of Obox as well as their lead designer.

David’s passions include design, CSS, cars and motorsport. His CV includes designing templates for Posterous, Tumblr, WordPress.com, Eventbrite and many more.

How are you involved with WordPress and the WordPress community?

I am the cofounder of Obox Themes.

What excites you most about WordPress?

It enables millions of people to make a living off a platform that is free to use. Blows my mind everyday that a CMS is such a giant digital economy.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

Seeing the future.
