In fact, with\u00a0the number of people involved in building the WordPress project and community on a daily basis, its no wonder that the community is so powerful\u00a0and the whole project\u00a0has had such an impact on the world.\u00a0That begs the question of how <em>you<\/em> can get involved and how <em>you<\/em> can make a difference &#8211;\u00a0how can you, as an individual, continue the mission of the WordPress project beyond WordCamp?<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div id=\"wcorg-session-284504\" class=\"wcorg-session\" >\n\t\t\t\t<h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\u2018Click-to-pay-to-learn\u2019\t\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wcorg-session-description\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The journey of how we leveraged WordPress to build our online learning startup, <a href=\"https:\/\/advantagelearn.com\/\">AdvantageLearn.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In this\u00a0session I&#8217;ll chat about how a non-developer (me!) is using WordPress to run our click to pay to learn online education company.\u00a0We manage this through a best of breed compilation of WordPress plugins (most notably Sensei and WooCommerce).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll\u00a0outline our journey with WordPress thus far through the lens of <a href=\"https:\/\/advantagelearn.com\/\">AdvantageLearn.com<\/a> noting the challenges, trade-offs, failures and victories to date. For the rest of the workshop participants will work on a <strong>modified version<\/strong> of a well known plugin to apply the principals discussed. The identified bugs will then be reported to a repo on GitHub and there will also be time for users to submit pull requests to fix these bugs.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the core WordPress projects today start out onGitHub before they are eventually merged in.
