WordCamp Cape Town Bingo

The thing that makes WordCamp truly great is not just the awesome content, but the members of the community who you will meet during the event. To help you along your way, we have put together a game of WordCamp bingo for you to enjoy, and get you to meet and chat to as many people as possible over the course of the conference.

What you need

  • A twitter account
  • A smart phone with a camera

How it works

Throughout the whole of the conference’s events (both days as well as the after party) you are charged with ‘filling your bingo card’ with the names and faces of people who each fit the bill of the card spaces below.

‘Filling your card’ consists of taking pictures of the people you meet who fit each criteria and tweeting that picture, with the following information to your Twitter account:

WCCT BingoWhat you need to include in your tweets:

  • The two hashtags: #wcct #bingo
  • The relevant number on the ‘card’ (1-12)
  • The name of the person you’ve just met and photographed

The Bingo card:

The Rules

  • This is not a race, there is no prize for rushing through it!
  • You may not use the same person for more than one ‘Bingo Square’
  • You may post your images in any order
  • You must include the hashtags or we won’t find your photos (don’t join them up either, #wcct #bingo that’s it)
  • You must meet the person you’re photographing – a picture of a speaker in action doesn’t count!
  • When you have posted all 12 photos, tweet @WPCapeTown a link to a Twitter search which includes your Twitter username and the hashtags so we can see the results – the URL will look something like this:
