Child Care Services

For the first time, we are introducing daycare services for children 2 years and older.

Our childcare is a free (yup, you heard correct!) service we are offering this year for parents who would love to attend WordCamp! 🙂  It will be run by 4 daycare professionals, their team lead, being Judy MacGregor who has 20 years experience in childcare & education, along with police clearance & first aid certification, so you can rest assured that your child will be in great hands for both days of the event!

Judy will be doing several activities with the children in her care, which include enrichment activities and a potential creative project to take home afterwards. They will also have access to the rooftop play area at the hotel, should the weather permit, and Judy would like to take the kids out for some fresh air and fun during the course of the day. We understand nap time is important, so these considerations have been put into place too.

We won’t be providing meals for the daycare, so therefore this will be the only thing we ask parents to provide – packed snacks & lunches for the day. We will ensure there is drinking water provided though.

Each child will receive an armband where parents can write down any allergies/illnesses/any concerns they would like the daycare staff to be mindful of. Parent’s will also be able to visit the daycare throughout the day, should they wish to quickly check-in. The room designated for daycare is called The Rainbow Room, and is just a few steps from the Atlantic Suites where the sessions will take place.
